I changed my engine on the vehicle listed above. When I plug the code reader in I get p0018 and p0019. Now when I pulled this engine from the donor car I read only a SAI code beforehand and these codes popped when I put it in my car. I changed the wiring harness because the donor was a 2009 I have a 2010. Are there any differences in sensors I may be missing it sounds good and I feel its electrical because nothing happens in between putting in engines. No misfires.

Hi,

Both codes are related to the same bank on the engine. It could be a misalignment issue with the timing chain. I would think if it was electrical, it would likely be on both sides of the engine. I say that with the idea that the donor was a different year.

Audi's are very sensitive to variations in timing. By any chance, did you inspect the timing chains/timing before the installation? Also, is this the same vehicle having transmission issues? If so, is the transmission from a different model year as well?

Let me know.

Hi,

I suspect you will need to find someone with what is called vag-com. It is a specific program for computers specific to VW and Audi.

Is that something you have or have access to?
