Electrical problem
1994 Dodge Ram V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i replaced my tail/stop light (drivers side) and since my brake lights just stay on without pressing the pedal. I have a shell and the brake light at the top comes on when pressing the brake pedal - thats ok. Its just the tail/brake lights. All other lights are ok. I checked the fuse and it looks ok. I checked under the dash around the brake pedal and all seems to be ok. I just removed the bulbs so not to drain my battery. I have no idea what it could be. Help!

P.S. My kid was pressing the pedal while I checked which bulb to replace and she pressed hard on the pedal - but probably not too hard.

Hi there, see if there is current flowing through the brake switch all the time, if so it will be faulty.

Once I really got up underneath the dash where the brake switch is, I could see that the button was depressed. I pressed it a few times and it popped back out. That was just too simple. Thanks anyway.
