The various diagrams explains the various codes.

Check for presence of water at the Throttle Position Sensor and Transmission range switch causing shorting or looseness or connectors.

Checek if wireharness had been dislodged while washing the engine. Some wires can get damaged by the exhaust when they have been dislodged from position and is resting against the exhaust.

I guess the water would have dried bcos it is up to 8 months now and it is not working. Where is the location of the Transmission Range switch. Thanks a lot

The switch is located at side of transmission. The diagram shows a slightly darker component, that is the switch. It is also known as Park Neutral Position switch. Are all the indicators on dash for gear position working correctly?

When water gets to electrical connectors, they can cause shorting or open circuits as it can cause oxidations etc. Remove the connector to check for oxidations/rust etc.

Such shorting can cause damages to the PCM as well.

Have you erased the trouble codes and test vehicle before retrieving the codes again?

Thanks a million times but I want to confirm if you are saying the switch is located near the gear box, besides even at park position the vehicle cannot raise up or accelerate when I press the acelerator. Again if I get you well if I erase the trouble codes, could it work? The indications or lights on dash are 1)service engine soon 2)A spanner sign. Finally, please what are the electrical connectors you mean and again cant fuel pump be a cause too. Thanks for your concern

You're welcome.

The trouble codes indicates a fault with the throttle position sensor and transmission range switch. The problem of not being able to accelerate should be due to a fault with the throttle rather than the transmission switch.

Connectors means for the transmisison range switch and the trhttle position sensor.

If it is a fault with the fuel pump, it would not show any codes. When trouble codes are present, they takes precedence over any others, with engine codes taking priority.

You should be concerned with P0222, P2104 and P2110 first.

Thanks a lot, but does it concerns the throttle body because I removed it to check for water and when we manaully connected it to a battery the motor on the throttle rotates and the throttle plate opened and close but we couldnt know the working condition of the throttle position censor. So does it means that we should not be concerned with the Transmission again or do we change the throttle body completely. Thanks

Reinstall the throttle and clear all trouble codes.
Test drive and if problem persists, retrieve the trouble codes and if it indicates a fault with the TPS, perform test on it.

Let me know if the codes are the same.

Please are you saying perhaps if I clear the codes the vehicle might accelerate or dont you feel if there is no problem the van could have moved since or could you explain further. Thanks

Problem could be due to intermittent failure of contacts and since you have removed the TPS to check, reinstall and clear codes. If it is intermittent poor contact the problem could have been cured. Test drive if problem goes away.

Engine codes takes precedence over transmission codes so you have to worry about engine trouble codes first.

Thanks please there is this spanner sign light on the dash board that dont go off after starting which according to the manual indicate that vehicle cannot accelerate.I wonder how can I make it go off bcos as long as it is there it cant accelerate unless with idle speed. Because whenever I engage it to drive it will move but will not accelerate. Mind u I did not loose out the TPS from the throttle body, I only loose out the throttle body and clean it with carburator cleaner

Honestly I dont understand the last message but I tested the throttle body manually using a battery I saw that the motor is rotating, the throttle plate is also opening and closing but I cant really say about the Throttle position sensor by the Throttle Body. Please what is the meaning of the Spanner sign on the dash board. It is constantly ON and without it going Off, I guess it cant accelerate. Also why is it rough idling and somtimes if I put ON the AC it becomes stable. Thanks

That indicates an error is present and recorded in the PCM. Get a scan done and let me know the EXACT code.

Thanks once again the codes are P2104, P2110, P2101, Po222 and P0708. Again some people suggested to me that I should chek
1 Fuel pressure regulator
2 Vacuum leak
3 Catalytic converter
4 Oxygen sensor
5 Plugs
6 Injector Noozles
Please I your expert idea on this not forgeting the codes that I gave. Finally please where can I find the fuel pressure regulator that is if you feel it is a good idea

P2104, P2110, P0222 and P0708 were previously found while P02101 is a new code which indicates a code for the Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) Motor Range/Performance.

The test have already been outlined in my replay dated Dec 22.

The fault lies in the Electronic Throttle Body (ETB), its wiring or the PCM and would cause the symptoms described. If you do not resolve these codes, checking other things are not going to help.

Have you carried out the pinpoint test as outlined above? If you do not perform the test to located the source, you are not going anywhere unless you want to start replacing things hoping they work.

You did not comment on my Jan 3 20011 suggestions that some people gave me. Again on the TAC motor, does it means the motor by the throttle body is not working properly bcos I told you b4 that I can see it roling but don't know how fast or is cycling of the key related to the ignition or what, pls comment. Pls can all these problems be tracable to the Throttle Body or if one can change the entire Thottle Body, will it work? The Pinpoint test is somehow difficult or how does it work? Thanks a lot

When I checked the test dated 21st Dec shows the the diagram that shows the procedure for testing but did not show how to do it and with what. Again there is something critical, Are the Throttle position sensor and the Throttle/pedal position sensor the same thing or different in terms of location. Where can the TAC be found. Thanks a lot

I can give you another hundred possible reasons but it is not going to work. Speculation does not work. When trouble codes are present you need to get them rectified first.

TAC is the actuator meaning it is the motor. Atttached diagrams shows the location of the parts concerned. TYhere are a few codes related to the motor and when motor is working, it does not mean it is good as it could be moving out of specs.

If you are not able to perform the test concerned, then it is best to get them done by professionals who knows how to do it.
